McKayla Rose Maroney has retired as an American artist and gymnast. She was part of the American female gymnastics team, known as the Fierce Five at the 2012 Summer Olympics in which she won an individual gold medal for the team event and a silver medal for her own in the vault contest. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney was born in Aliso Viejo, California, on the 9th of December 1995. She is the daughter of Erin and Mike Maroney (died 2019). McKayla is a native of Irish Catholic ancestry. McKayla is a sister to Tarynn Kav. Maroney stated, "When I was younger, I would be watching Tarzan and running around on all fours. "I have to enroll my child in gymnastics" my mom said. Lauren Drain is an ex-member of Westboro Baptist Church. She has written Banished (2013), which details her experiences at the church, and ultimately being exiled. Lauren Drain has been engaged since the beginning of August 2013, and is currently married to David Kagan who is a fitness-model. The couple shares their daughter Aria Skye Kagan, born on the 29th of December, 2019. She briefly lived by herself in Topeka and was enthralled by remembrances of her deportation from her church and family, eventually deciding to move to Connecticut. Her parents, two sisters and brother also remained members of the church and cut all ties with the church.
