Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd became more confident after her win, and she won three fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen with a majority vote. It left a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her debut as a pro. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the first round by TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first fight in the Bantamweight division. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy as the catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd didn't make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the second round by TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the last match with the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round later in the 2nd. Her dominance grew and she scored a more impressive win when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the initial round, she was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Ladd fought in her debut big fight in The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters getting an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and finish Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, lost to Randamie. In a match that was a replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
