Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actress and producer. In Mexico she started her career by playing the character of Teresa in the Telenovela (1989-1991) and El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she received an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were just some of her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's character as Frida Kahlo who is a painter, in Frida (2002), a biographical documentary she made and won her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. The actress also won her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films, while starring in action-oriented pictures Once Upon a Time in Mexico later on in her career.
